Lumina HealthCare is proud to be chosen by CareMore as a value added service offered to all CareMore Touch members, providing convenient, on-site dental care, right in the comfort of your own home or place of residence.

Routine dental check-ups and cleanings are important for everyone, especially as we age. Dental neglect has been linked to more serious medical problems such as heart disease, nutrition and dietary issues and systemic infections.

However, for some patients, going to a traditional dental office for care is inconvenient or even impossible…until now.

Caring and compassionate, full service dental care is only a telephone call away. State-of-the-art dental care through Lumina HealthCare will come to CareMore members on-site, in your place of residence…either in a resident-living community, a skilled nursing or board and care facility, or even at your home.

Lumina HealthCare serves hundreds of skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities in California, and the clinical staff is very experienced in the special needs of patients with mobility challenges.

Dental services offered include: examinations, X-rays, routine and periodontal cleanings, denture, partials, fillings, extractions, crowns, and oral cancer screenings.

Lumina HealthCare’s professional dental group developed the Resident Advantage program to offer these comprehensive dental services at special reduced fees.

Here is how your dental program works:

To make a routine appointment, simply call 1-800-373-5400 Ext. 242 and tell the Patient Care Team Member you would like to schedule an appointment. Remember to identify yourself as a CareMore Touch member. The Team Member will be happy to arrange a convenient time for your Lumina dentist and clinical team to visit.

What happens when the dentist visits you?

The Lumina dentist will visit you at your residence on the scheduled day. After your examination, any needed treatment will be explained to you. Your Lumina consultant will review the cost of the treatment. All costs will be explained prior to starting treatment and no treatment will be started without your approval.

What are the advantages of the Lumina program?

  • No annual or monthly premium or fees.
  • You pay only for services you need at special, reduced fees.
  • The dental care will be provided in the comfort and convenience of your home or residence
  • Providing mobile dental services is all Lumina does! They travel with mobile dental units and X-ray equipment designed to service seniors.
